Horses Arabian

What do you think about this horse..?(Arabian)?

So, this will be my first horse and I've been riding for about 2 years. But we have an EXCELLENT Arabian trainer who'd be working with me and this horse too. Here she is: http://www.dreamhorse.com/show_horse.php?form_horse_id=1271592 And this is what the owner also said about her: "I was wondering if you read the "blurb" on DreamHorse? It pretty much tells all.She had about 6 months training in AZ with my daughter, Jessica Bein of Bein Performance Horses.I have not been able to ride, so I had an assistant trainer from one of the Quarter Horse trainers here in Temecula, come ride her a few days a week. She is turned out daily. I have not ridden her due to health probs. She is VERY under priced. We just have to sell. She needs finishing training, but knows her leads, etc. Also, she is Breeders Sweepstakes nominated." Soo, what do you guys think?(: Yeahh, I've leased horses and dealt with some crazies. ahhah. Been in a few shows..the usual, ya know? My trainer shows Arabians..So..yeah? And Right now I'm currently riding a half-Arabian. I love him.:D

  1. Your getting a 5 rated arab for a first horse?? Do you have any riding experience? But she is very pretty :)
  2. if you have a good arab trainer.. and know how to ride arabs. she's very pretty. i love and ride arabs and they are an awesome breed. if she's half arab half saddlebred, she can be registered as a NSH (fun fact lol) i think she looks good but take your trainer and go see her best of luck!
  3. I hope you plan on showing this horse on the Arab circuit! This horse is beautiful and the blood lines are amazing! She has a great price on her in my opinion too. I'm sure you will have your hands full with her though, Arabians are full of themselves but are great to be around. I love Arabians and this one is a nice one. Good Luck if you get her!
  4. Very nice!!! I would buy her if I could. (but then again I would buy any if I could) She is very pretty and a great buy!!
  5. I would get a "Dead Broke" for your first horse then in a year or two buy a more advanced one. There is logic in this, Confidence is earned and you learn to be able to be calm around horses. My first horse was a 12 year old TWH mare, and she has helped me be able to ride any horse I come by, through my calm and confidence. I realise you may be ready for this horse, but I think in ways of a pyramid shape, the base being, calm and confident, the 2nd level being trained well, and the last being experience. I have been riding for 9 years and am just getting my first "green" horse, I love the ability to jump on my mare and not have to worry about her going nuts, over a blowing leaf. It is a wonderful feeling, and one I think everyone should have.
  6. Honestly, I wouldn't suggest an Arabian for your first horse, but then again, mine was a Thoroughbred. :) SO, it depends on your taste. I really don't mind an excited horse, but I'd prefer a lazy one. As long as you and your trainer agree that you can work with this and do well. If you've been riding two years then you probably know a bit. However, getting your own horse is a huge step. Make sure and check out all your options before deciding on one. We probably saw 15 horses before we finally found the one we wanted. And now, our first horse is a proud mommy. :D The baby is adorable, he'll be two months in 10 days. :D Good luck and hope this helps. Any questions, IM me at andygirl2012 on Yahoo! or AIM at Jumpergirl2012.
  7. For a first horse, I would usually suggest something older and with more training. The only case where a horse like this would work for a first horse is a case like yours where you work with a qualified trainer religiously. If you are even starting to think of going it alone, you'll need an older horse. Please be very aware, and willing to accept, that if you and the horse are both inexperienced, progress will be very slow, perhaps slower than your peers. If you are willing to live with that and stay under the guidance of your trainer, then you should go look at the horse and meet her in person to see if you mesh.
  8. Well.... she has got 5 for a temperment, with your small amount of experience I would suggest something more quiet
  9. She's beautiful and has excellent bloodlines...you'd probably do well on the Arabian circuit. But, you should ask yourself if you are ready for an Arabian. They are known to be quite flouncy and have a bit of attitude. Even if you have a trainer you'll need experience so you don't mess up what the trainer is trying to teach!!! But, if you do have experience GO FOR IT! She's really pretty.
  10. You'll still be riding a Half Arabian - look at her pedigree. The only drawback to her breeding is Bask. Met him once, nice horse mostly, he tends to pass along the 'crazy' Aye-rab gene to his kids. Nothing wrong with an Arab as your first horse. Hint: don't make any "stupid human" mistakes with her, they have a very long memory and don't easily forgive stupidity.
  11. I don't know why but the owners name sounds familiar...Hmmm I'm going to ask around I'm in the area. Have you been out to see her yet? I say if she is what your looking for in a horse and knowing she still needs training go for it, you do have a trainer. The bloodlines are great, i myself have a double Bask and the person that said they are crazy, mine is sane and stunningly beautiful...Go look at her.
