Do the Lipizzaner stallions ever tour the UK? My girlfriend would love to see a display by Lipizzaner stallions and I would one day like to surprise her with tickets. Do they ever come to the UK? Also, are there any shows over here that go some way to comparing to them?
I took these photos- lipizzaner stallions performance- can i send them to get in a magazine? I went to this Lipizanner stallion performance and took lots of photos. I got a ton of really good ones, that look professional. I just want to make sure but I am writing an article for a magazine about the Lipizanner stallion and I was wondering if I could use those photos I took in with my article. They did let us take photos, it shouldnt be a problem for ME to use them how I want, since i took them. RIght???
Question about the lipizzaner stallions? My mom could possibly get us free tickets to go see the lipizzaner stallions and I would love to go considering I’ve been riding horses myself for about 4 years now. However, I'm also a vegetarian and an animal rights activist. So here is my question- Is this show enjoyable for the horses involved, or is this show more like the circus where they are mean to the animals? I would like to go, but I don’t want to see unhappy overworked horses.
Anyone seen the Lipizzaner Stallions show? My mom loves horses and this show is coming to an arena by us. I was wondering if anyone has seen this before and could give me some feedback on it. What is was like, was it worth it, etc. Thanks.
how are lipizzaner stallions trained? wouldn't it be very hard to get a horse to jump up in the air and do all those crazy trots? if you know of any websites or videos explaining specifically how they train them for the shows and all. thank you haha i'm not trying to train one, silly. i haven't been on a horse in years. i was just curious how the hell they get the horses to understand what they are trying to get them to do and why they're doing it.
Anyone ever seen the Royal Lipizzaner stallions? What did you think of them? I have a chance to go see them in a couple of months. I've never seen them, but heard good things. Is the show worthwhile, or is it just a bunch of white horses doing tricks? How long does the show last? How many horses performed? Did you think it worth the time and money? Any input or comments about them would be appreciated.
Rescued Lipizzaner horses...? Last night I went to see the "World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions". As the announcer was talking, he said that 8 lipizzaners were rescued from a lipizzaner farm in Florida. 4 were preforming, and the other 4 were sold. I bought my Lipizzan from someone who bought from a guy who rescued him and I am under the impression he might have been one of them, considering he knows alot of movements I didnt teach him. Does anyone know a article or something with more info? (i don't really expect answers so anything is great :)
Please help me make this sentence complex? The Spanish Riding School of Vienna is world famous because of the rich history, beauty, and grace of the Lipizzaner stallions. How can I make that complex, please help!
Teaching horses to rear on command? I know a lot of people feel strongly about this. I don't want an argument... I just want to know what people think. In my opinion, it's okay to do as long as you teach them the right way (not by yanking on their mouth until they get scared or angry and rear), and as long as you teach it to a horse with impeccable manners. Just look at the Lipizzaner stallions. They all know how to rear (lavade), and they are among the most well-behaved horses in the world. Anyway... let's see some opinions. Oops... I spelled levade wrong. LBentforLeather: What makes you think I only want opinions that agree with mine? Why would I even ask for opinions if I didn't want to see different ones? I know it takes years of training for the Lippizaners and I know that they teach them by getting them to lift their legs with pressure from a whip. Quite unlike the way most "average" horse owners teach it (by yanking on their mouth until they rear). My point in citing the levade was to show that it is DIFFERENT from that kind of rearing, and does not make me clueless. When I referred to a "horse with impeccable manners" you assume I'm talking about just an average trail horse, but I'm not. Lippizaners are not the only type of horse well-behaved and athletic enough to perform the same movements. It's possible for someone with the training of the people who ride the Lippizans to teach a horse who is not a Lippizan how to do the same movements. I also didn't say a word about an average person riding a Lippizan, so chill out.

Which Horse Breed Do You Like The Best? Out of all of the Baroque or Iberian horses, which breed do you choose? [ The Breeds: ] [ Andalusian ] [ Friesian ] [ Lipizzaner ] [ Lusitano ] [ Paso Fino ] [ Peruvian Paso ] I have an Andalusian / Lipizzaner cross named Federico. His lines include about 5 National Andalusian Champions of Spain, And the lines that trace back to some of the six origional Lipizzaner stallions. He is the greatest horse ever. We are currently doing Dressage, Jumping, & Trick Training. He is by far the smartest horse I have ever worked with. I am a horse trainer ( I use natural horsemanship methods, including Parelli. ) and have worked with MANY horses. Check Out Federico's Site: http://www.federico.20m.com/
What do you think of these horse names? Damien for my black mustang, phantom for my Andalusian, Majesty for my mare Lipizzaner and Caspian for her stallion and Capulet for her colt. Blaze for my Tennessee walking horse (blaze going down his forehead) Destiny for my mare (breed unknown) and thunder for my Thoroughbred. Oh and Duchess for my Clydesdale. What do ya think? Oh and misty for my shetland pony.
what should i do if a stallion attacks? My Lipizzaner Stallion has now attacked 3 of his handlers, he presents as quiet before the attacks and shows no respect to humans at all. should he be destroyed. These are not bite incidents but he actually uses killing moves to place the handler in his stable by biting and lifting them off the floor
Better my essay? the topic is vivid memories of my early childhood The memory I have which is the most vivid is that of the time we were living in Paris. Paris is a very beautiful, loud city. I will always remember the live musicians in the metro. The city was so huge the buildings toured around you if there were no cars you’d feel like a part of history. Paris always smelled of smoke, since everyone smoked, except the mornings. Every morning on my way to school, while passing the bakeries and the restaurant the streets were filled the smell of bread being baked. The language is nice and soft so in a restaurant a crowd sounds very different to English speaking one. in the tourist areas it always smelt of melted chocolate because of the crepe stands. The people were for the most part friendly, but like most big cities, they weren’t the most patient. There was always something going on in Paris which made it very fun and upbeat city. On the outskirts of the city it often smelt very bad because of the sewage system and, but in the suburbs and inner city it was very metropolitan. There was a park which I always enjoyed visiting. Park France Miniature is a 5 hectare park of mini French cities, monuments and landmarks that are represented in great detail. It even has its own tiny TGV railway running through it. It was very close to Versailles home of both Louis XIV the Sun King and Marie Antoinette. Versailles was absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed the famous white Lipizzaner Stallions performance. The horses did spectacular leaps, once used by riders in saddle to defend themselves on the battlefield. It was a lot like watching ballet but all on horseback. On my 8th birthday, we visited the Disneyland. My favorite rides were the Rock N Rollercoaster, Discovery Mountain, Indiana Jones rollercoaster and Phantom Manor. I also enjoyed the Disney Princesses Castle. The Indiana Jones rollercoaster ride was coolest ride at Disney land. The seats were switched so people ride it backwards.

Another Horse Poll !!!? I been thinking bout making Horsey polls. Here is another one, this is bout what breed you like better. Friesian or Shire Tennessee walking horse or American Saddlebred Mustang or Irish Sport Horse Pinto or Irish cob Przewalski Horse or Fjord Horse Andalusian or Lipizzaner AraAppaloosa or Appaloosa Anglo-Kabarda or Azteca Bhotia Pony or Icelandic Boer or Dapple Gray **** QUESTION OF THE WEEK **** MARE OR STALLION?
How do I teach my horse to do a Capriole? Here is a link to the Lippi's site that shows it, but basically it is the move where the horse leaps straight off the ground and then kicks out with its back legs: http://www.lipizzaner.com/airs.asp I think it would be really useful for my mare to learn to do that in case a stallion tries to sneak up on us sometime....so how do I go about teaching her? ;-) I did find this video of someone teaching a fat little pony to do it. Pretty cute. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joYCpYFRKgo Really, I don't think my horse is ready. She hasn't even started jumping yet so she doesn't have the muscle. Mostly, I was just curious HOW one goes about telling a horse that a jump and kick (or whatever) is what is expected of them. It doesn't seem like something that is as easy for the horse to grasp as leg pressure moving them in one direction or another. I guess maybe my question should be...How do you teach a horse to jump straight up into the air? or something like that.
